January 11th, 2008 - Taking Picture Tips
I was talking to my sister on the phone, as sisters often do, and we were discussing taking pictures and things that we do when we take our pictures. So we decided to come up with some tips of our very own. We are not photographers, but we do have experience with taking tons and tons of pictures of our own children and other family. We hope you find some of the tips helpful.
Brighest Quality Always set your digital camera on the highest quality. You can always print the picture as small as you like, but if the quality is poor it is nearly impossible to print it big, it usually shows up the size of a postage stamp - and that is not a good thing.
Zoom In Don't be afraid! As moms, we all know that there is nothing cuter than your child. We all want those cute pictures of our newborns little baby fingers and toes and that great new smile when it first appears. A great thing about zooming is you will weed out the clutter in the background that you don't want anyone else to see.
Get Close Up While zoom is great it isn't always the best option. Getting closer to the person you is a great tip.
Get Down Low Instead of always looking down on them try to get on their level.
Natural Light While you aren't always able to take a newborn outside with the horrible weather conditions you can open up windows in the house to allow more natural sunlight to filter inside. For some reason natural light gives something extra special to the photo.
Distractions This is very good for older more mobile children who do not want to sit still for pictures any more. Use something they can hold and play with while you click away. Some examples are finger foods, apples, toys (age appropriate, of course) ice cream and birthday cake makes for very fun pictures.
Click Away It doesn't matter if it is your new babies little sweet toes or your toddlers messy face. You don't want to forget any of those moments. In the age of digital it is very easy to delete those bad or blurry pictures later.
Have FUN They change so fast and so much so lastly just have fun!!
I hope some of this tips are helpful!

January 9, 2008 - Introductions
Bumble Baby Creations is owned by Angie Anos and Mandy Williams. We are sisters who began Bumble Baby Creations out of the pure enjoyment of creating something special for others.
We are both stay at home moms. When our children were babies a love of taking their pictures started and hasn't stopped yet, despite the older ones not enjoying being our subject anymore. Gotta love toddlers and preschoolers. We had to do something with all the pictures, which lead to making keepsakes of our own. The birth of Bumble Baby Creations came soon after that in June 2006.
We still love creating something special. We take great pride in creating birth announcements, party invitations and much more. We want you to look back at your creation years later and remember how special that day was to you and your family.
We are excited to be offering a brand new size 5x5! It is available now! We were so excited to introduce that we are doing it now. Here is a sneak peek...
